ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY This workshop is for digital photographers of all skill levels who want to learn and understand creative and close-up photography techniques for capturing architecture and architectural details. Through an illustrated digital lecture, graphic handouts, software demonstrations, and a shooting session with the instructor, participants learn how to use their camera and lenses to capture dramatic details of buildings and streetscapes. Also, participants will learn composition, shooting techniques, and how to enhance their images using Photoshop/Photoshop Elements and other software. While accompanied by the instructor, participants practice their newly acquired photographic skills at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the surrounding neighborhood. Note: Bring ALL photo equipment to all sessions, including a digital memory card, extra batteries, and camera manual. A tripod is highly recommended but optional.
